The new term life insurance from ERGO

Survivor protection made easy

ERGO Risikolebensversicherung Familie

Everyone knows how important it is – but only one in six German households has it: a term life insurance. With the new edition of the term life insurance from ERGO, there are even more good reasons to take out a policy.

Few products have experts in such agreement: A term life insurance is an indispensable part of survivor protection. For those who want to secure their life partner or children or ensure that the mortgage on their property can still be paid in case of an emergency, it is the means of choice.

With the new edition of our term life insurance, we have worked on all important areas: the scope of benefits, the price-performance ratio, and the issue of simplicity. We particularly focused on the advance death benefit for serious illnesses already in the basic coverage and the inclusion of an orphan's pension in the premium coverage – a real innovation in term life insurance.

Simple and versatile – a perfect combination

ERGO's term life insurance is available in three progressively powerful variants: Basic Protection, Comfort, and Premium.

Included in the basic protection: the option of an advance benefit for life-threatening diseases. “Diseases with an expected fatal outcome not only bring significant burdens for body and soul but often also for the family finances. In such cases, the advance insurance benefit can be a great help,” says René Wördemann.

A highlight of the premium coverage is “Child Protection Plus”: the additional half or full orphan's pension of 250 or 500 euros monthly for each child.

The new term life insurance also scores in terms of flexibility, whether through guaranteed follow-up insurance, temporary increases for real estate financing, starting a business, and other occasions, or the contribution review option when changing jobs.

In all variants, customers can add the Dread Disease module: In the case of diagnoses such as cancer, heart attack, or stroke, a capital payout of 10 percent of the death benefit, up to 30,000 euros, will occur.

In addition to improved benefits, we have also worked hard on the price and have become noticeably cheaper in many configurations. And it’s getting simpler and more transparent as well: We have refined our already concise and transparent health questions. The new term life insurance from ERGO – simple, because it matters!
